Day 1 of Baltic Hiking Tour (Friday): Arrival Tallinn

Arrival in Tallinn, optional transfer to Hotel Radisson Blu Olympia**** or similar hotel, check-in, welcome meeting with the Biking Tour guide.

Day 2 of Baltic Hiking Tour (Saturday): Tallinn-Cesis

Breakfast at hotel. We will take a drive to the Lahemaa National Park, enjoy the walking tour through the Lahemaa National (2 hours, medium). After that we take our route to Tartu, home of many students and universities. Explore the lovely Old Town of Tartu. We continue our tour to Latvia - Cesis, which was Hanseatic city with its castle remains and wonderful free spaces. Check-in at Hotel Kolonna Cesis*** or similar hotel in Cesis.

Day 3 of Baltic Hiking Tour (Sunday): Cesis-Vilnius

We will take our route today to Gauja National Park and Ligatne Wild-Life Park. We enjoy a walking tour through the park, where bears, deer, elks and other wild animals live in a fenced-off enclosure of natural habitat (2 hours, medium). After a tour of Sigulda, a popular sightseeing spot in Latvia, we carry on to Vilnius. En route we stop at a stunning Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland. After a guided tour of the Rundale palace we carry on to Lithuania and reach Vilnius late afternoon. Check in at Hotel Radisson Blu Lietuva**** or similar hotel in Vilnius.

Day 4 of Baltic Hiking Tour (Monday): Vilnius-Klaipeda

Vilnius is famous with it beautiful medieval architecture, Old Town and numerous churches. The morning Vilnius sightseeing tour offers a panoramic tour of the city. A walking part of the tour will follow, you will see Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church, Old University and the Gates of Dawn. After the tour we head towards Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania, visit to beautiful Trakai Castle, beautifully sitting on an island in Lake Galve. Most of the day is spent en route to Klaipeda, where we arrive late afternoon. Check in at Hotel National**** or similar standard hotel in Klaipeda.

Day 5 of Baltic Hiking Tour (Tuesday): Klaipeda

The day is reserved for a full-day tour to the Curonian Spit, a thin, 100 km stretch of land between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon with small fishing villages, pine forests and endless sand dunes. Our first stop is at the Hill of Witches in Juodkrante. After that we continue to Nida and embark on a walking tour around the High Dunes (3 hours medium) and get acquainted with the charming resort town before we drive back to Klaipeda. The evening offers an optional Lithuanian dinner at Restaurant 19th Century.

Day 6 of Baltic Hiking Tour (Wednesday): Klaipeda-Riga

Klaipeda is third biggest city in Lithuania, it has a ancient history and was called Memel when it was a Gernam town. There is a charming old town and we will take a tour around it to see its narrow, cobblestone streets and old guild houses. As part of the tour we will stop at the Theatre Square and the Aennchen von Tharau Fountain. After this short tour we will head towards Samogitia National Park, where we will stop and have a walking tour around the beautiful lake of Plateliai (2 hours, medium). The route continues to Siauliai and Cross Hills, one of the sacred sites of Catholic Lithuania. We head North into Latvia and reach Riga in the afternoon, check-in at Hotel Radisson Blu Latvija**** or similar standard hotel in Riga. An optional organ concert at the Dome Cathedral in the Old Town is offered in the evening, its worth a visit.

Day 7 of Baltic Hiking Tour (Thursday): Riga

Riga is over 800 years old, it was founded by the German bishop Albert and is the biggest and busiest of the three Baltic State capitals. Riga is proud to offer a wide variety of culture, history, art and architecture, including Art Neauveau. The walking tour of the Old Town includes Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds and the Freedom Monument. The afternoon is reserved for visit to Jurmala, the vibrant Latvian sea resort, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches. We do a walking tour on the sandy beaches from Pumpuri to Bulduri (3 hours, light).In the evening we enjoy an optional Latvian dinner at a nice Restaurant La Boheme.

Day 8 (Friday): Riga-Tallinn

The tour continues along the coastal highway to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu. We do a short tour of the resort before we continue through the North Estonian land of forests and arrive in Tallinn early afternoon, check-in at the Hotel Radisson Blu Olympia**** or similar.

Day 9 (Saturday): Tallinn

Tallinn is a beautiful modern city, it boast a jaw dropping Old Town. Tallinn’s medieval Old Town is known around the world for it’s authentic architecture. Enjoy the cobblestone streets and houses dating back as far as to 11th century, visit few of the local art and crafts show rooms, galleries, museum to indulge in small cosy cafés or restaurants and buy travel memorabilia from summer or Christmas open air Hanseatic fairs. There are numerous shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafees and restaurants in the old town. The sightseeing tour takes you around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where we see Toompea Castle, the Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the medieval Old Town Hall. In the afternoon we do a walking tour through the Kadriorg Park and the area surrounding the Kadriorg Palace. The evening offers an optional medieval dinner at Restaurant Peppersack in the Old Town.

Day 10 (Sunday): Tallinn Departure

Optional transfer to the airport can be booked at extra charge.
