Parnu is located on the shores of the Parnu Bay. This former Hanseatic and university town is nowadays a favourite summer resort. It offers sunny beaches, green parks and promenade paths, health spas with a wide range of medical treatment options. The architectural face of the town is dominated by the red tower of the town wall, parts of the bastion and the moat, Tallinn gate from the 17th century, Baroque Churches of St. Catherine and St. Elisabeth, Classical Town Hall, stone houses from the 18th century.
