The most famous suburban residence of the Russian tsars, located right on the southern coast of the Gulf of Finland, has about 200 fountains that make its major attractions. World best artists designed the unique ensemble of fountains and cascades over a long period of over 100 years. On a warm sunny day it's fun to watch the kids enjoying themselves among the trick fountains, which start to spray when least expected.
A 5-hour tour includes a tour of the Grand Palace with some unique early XVIII century interiors and private chambers of Catherine the Great and an enjoyable walk round the grounds.
Apart from the fountains the Lower Park has a number of attractions Monplaisir, outwardly a humble villa and a favorite place of Peter I, the oldest Hermitage pavilion in Russia, the Marly palace, Catherine's wing, the Cottage Palace and the Imperial Bathhouse.
Petrodvorets (former Peterhof) is on an outstanding monument of the 18th century Russian art and culture. Upon your wish we can arrange lunch at the Old Greenhouse Restaurant. Have in mind that Peterhof can also be accessed by sea, onboard of a comfortable hydrofoil that leaves from the Winter Palace. The Palaces (Monplaisir excluded) are open to the public all year round but the fountains are only running May till October.
