The tour starts with a visit to the ethnographical open air museum (approx 2,5 hrs with transfers included)
The Latvian Ethnographic Museum was founded in 1924 and is one of the oldest open-air museums in Europe. It is situated 10 km from Riga city centre in a pine forest on the banks of Lake Jugla. This museum has is the best example of authentic Latvian culture consisting of most important historical and cultural heritage examples that have been assembled from the four provinces of Latvia: Kurzeme, Vidzeme, Latgale and Zemgale. You will find here traditional rural buildings, farmhouses, windmills, fishermenš huts, churches and artisans' homesteads. You will also have a unique possibility to witness how traditional Latvian crafts are created because the museum counts with masters of 18 different crafts demonstrating their work: spoon-carvers, bee-keepers, potters and others.
You will also have a wonderful opportunity to experience some traditional Latvian folk music during a short concert performed by a local folk group. After this tour you will be taken back to Riga city in order to explore its history and discover its most important landmarks.

Riga City combined driving and walking tour unites both Old Town's beauty and more distant Riga’s districts and places of attraction. You will be invited to view the most significant sights of Riga: central streets and boulevards of Riga, the Bastion Hill, Laima clock, The University of Latvia, Latvian Opera House, Passenger Terminal and Daugava River, Brethren cemetery and Art Nouveau architecture.
